Cebu city also nicknamed 'Queen of the South' is the second largest city of the Philippines. مدينة سيبو أيضا الملقب ب 'ملكة من الجنوب' هو ثانى اكبر مدينة فى الفلبين.

It has few attractions compared to it's big sister Manila and most of the ones it has have to do with Ferdinand Magellan's arrival here and consequently the birth of Catholicism in the Philippines , the Santo Nino Cathedral , the Carbon market (the biggest and liveliest) & Colon Street which is the oldest street of the country and more or less the town's center. وقد جذب عدد قليل بالمقارنة مع انها شقيقة مانيلا الكبرى ومعظم تلك التي لها علاقة مع فرديناند ماجلان وصوله الى هنا ، وبالتالي ولادة الكنيسة الكاثوليكية في الفلبين ، وكاتدرائية سانتو نينو ، وسوق الكربون (أكبر وأكثر نشاطا) & شارع القولون وهو اقدم شارع في البلاد وأكثر أو أقل بوسط البلدة.

It's also of course more laid back and calmer but that wasn't for me a bad thing for me as I could feel the previous week of drinking was slowly taking its toll and it was time for a break. كما انها بطبيعة الحال أكثر هدوءا وضع الظهر ولكن ذلك لم يكن بالنسبة لي أمرا سيئا بالنسبة لي وكنت اشعر في الأسبوع السابق للشرب كان ببطء ضريبته وانه حان الوقت لكسر.

I arrived at the Mactan airport of Cebu after لقد وصلت الى مطار ماكتان سيبو بعد dark with a few suggestions of places to stay when in Cebu city. مع حلول الظلام بضعة اقتراحات لأماكن للبقاء عندما فى مدينة سيبو. The sight of a tourism & accommodations desk while waiting for my luggage changed my initial plan of just taking a cab to one of those hotels. على مرأى من مكتب السياحة والإقامة في انتظار حقيبتي تغيرت خطتي الأولي لمجرد أخذ سيارة أجرة إلى واحد من هذه الفنادق. This turned out to be a good decision since both the هذا اتضح أن قرار جيد لأن كلا من Northwinds hotel Northwinds الفندق and the و Business park hotel الأعمال حديقة الفندق I was suggested were fully booked. أنا اقترح تم حجزها بالكامل. I was surprised of this as we're still in the monsoon (or wet) season which is the lowest for tourism. كنت مندهشا من هذا كما اننا لا نزال في موسم الأمطار الموسمية (أو الرطب) في الموسم الذي هو أدنى مستوى للسياحة.

I eventually found with the help of the staff something suitable in the city near Fuente Osmena Circle but a bit more expensive that I had expected so a good advice book in advance. أنا في نهاية المطاف وجدت مع مساعدة من شيء الموظفين المناسبين في المدينة القريبة فوينتى Osmena الدائرة ولكن قليلا أكثر تكلفة من المتوقع ان كان لي من نصيحة جيدة حتى الحجز مقدما.

This is the spot where Ferdinand Magellan planted his cross in 1521 . هذا هو المكان الذي زرعت فرديناند ماجلان صليبه في عام 1521. Historic attraction as this is the only Catholic country of Asia. جذب تاريخي لأن هذا هو البلد الوحيد الكاثوليكية في آسيا.

Busy day and night it offers pretty much every possible choice of BBQ meat: Chicken, Pork, Fish, Squid, etc.. اليوم مشغول ليلا وأنه يقدم الى حد كبير كل خيار ممكن لببك اللحوم : الدجاج ، لحم الخنزير والسمك والحبار وغيرها.
